Meet the Slippery Rock University SPARK Leadership Team 2023 – 2024

The Smile Project is a nonprofit organization dedicated to spreading Happiness through acts of kindness. Our flagship program finds its home in the SPARK Clubs. SPARK stands for “Strengthening Positivity and Reinforcing Kindness” and these groups are formed by inspiring young people who want to make their schools and communities kinder and friendlier places to be.

Today, I want to introduce the 2023 – 2024 school year leadership team of one of the oldest SPARK clubs, Slippery Rock University (SRU). This is the eighth year for SRU SPARK and I am so inspired by their kindness already! Be sure to follow them on Instagram at @sruspark_club

President: Dana Bielobocky

Dana is a junior exercise science pre-physical therapy major from Transfer, PA. This is her third year in SPARK and last year she served as vice president. She shares, “I’m so excited to serve as president this year. SPARK helps create a kind and positive environment on SRU’s campus and I love being a part of it. Some things that bring positivity into my life include spending time with friends, staying active, reading, and playing with my cat Mocha! I’m looking forward to such a great year with everybody.”

Vice President: Patrick Krupp

Patrick is a sophomore civil engineering major from Bloomsburg, PA. This is his second year in SPARK. He says, “I am glad to be able to be a part of the e-board and help shape this club. I think everyone can be a little kinder and this club helps encourage that. I enjoy spending time with friends and my cat Charlie! I am excited for a big year for SPARK!"

Secretary: Jordan Ensign

Jordan is a sophomore English major with a concentration in professional writing. She’s from Strongsville, OH and this is her second year in SPARK. She shares, “some things that spark joy for me are peaceful moments with my friends and family, reading a good book, listening to music, and being with my dogs. SPARK is such a positive and welcoming environment. I’m so excited to be joining this year’s e-board!”

Treasurer: Breanna Vanderhoof

Breanna is a junior forensic chemistry major from Russell, PA. This is her third year in SPARK. She says, “SPARK has been a great way for me to be able to make friends who have different majors than I do. I love that SPARK helps to bring more positivity into people's lives. A couple of things that bring positivity into my life are hanging with friends and reading."

Event Coordinator: Audrey Schultz

Audrey is a junior business management major from Pittsburgh, PA. This is her second year as the SPARK event coordinator. She shares, “Some of my favorite things are sunsets, being outside, painting, photography, thrifting, and hanging with my friends and family. SPARK has taught me to appreciate all the little moments in life that can go unnoticed. I can’t wait for what this year has in store for our club!"
