On November 9th, 2011, Liz Buechele was a 17-year-old on her way home from high school, driving down the same back roads she had traveled her whole life. But something felt different that day. In one clear moment, she realized she was happy. She needed to share this joy. When Liz arrived home, she posted a Facebook status:

"Day 1: Happiness is.. those perfect car rides where the radio just plays all the right songs."
That single status, that serendipitous moment of pure joy, that seemingly uneventful car ride grew into The Smile Project. Liz still posts "Happiness is" every single day and is so grateful to be chronicling life through snippets of extraordinary wonder in ordinary moments.

Now, all of Liz's "Happiness is" statuses are made available on what we affectionately nicknamed, "The Bubble Site." This digital notebook is a database to search for specific day numbers (might we suggest Day 1000?) or specific dates (might we suggest your birthday?) You can also search by keywords or click on the tags inside the bubbles.

Take a few moments to soak up some joy. You'll be happy you did.
