A May First Check-In

Today is a new month. The fifth month of the year. We are a third of the way through 2022. How are you feeling?


Did you make any resolutions back in January? Are you sticking to them? Spring is a fine time for cleaning your home, your heart, your head.


Are you sleeping well? Did you drink enough water yesterday? When was the last time you said I love you?


What do you need to do today to feel like you have had a successful day? Do you feel you have a healthy definition of the word “success?”


This month will be over in 31 days. Is there anything you want to do before we get there? Is there anything you want to accomplish before June 1?


What’s a recipe you want to try this month? What’s a movie you want to watch? Who’s a friend you want to get coffee or schedule a video call date with? What is a song you want to listen to?


I hope this month begins on the right foot for you and I hope if it doesn’t, you’re willing to give it another chance tomorrow.


I hope you get good news this month. I hope you have the opportunity to work hard at something worth doing. I hope you are able to move your body in a way that feels good. I hope you feel strong and gentle and wise and curious and brave and kind and peaceful and open.


And if all that feels like a lot at once, let's start simpler: I hope you have a day you can be proud of.
