Service Spotlight: Here's Life C.B.O.

This week, we are excited to bring you a project from Nairobi, Kenya. Co-founded by Godfrey Were Khalonyere, Here’s Life C.B.O. is a nonprofit organization helping vulnerable populations in his home country.

Without further ado, allow me to introduce Godfrey and his project!

Liz: Let’s start in traditional Smile Project fashion. Give me a “Happiness is.”

Godfrey: Changing vulnerable widows and orphans of Here's Life makes me happy. Putting a smile on their face makes me smile even more!

Liz: What is Here’s Life C.B.O.?

Godfrey: Here's Life is a registered Nonprofit Organization committed to developing, initiating and executing of personalized livelihood and support programs to the widows and orphans infected and affected with HIV and AIDS within Mathare and Njiru slums of Nairobi County.

Liz: What is the driving force behind what you do?

Godfrey: The driving force behind what I do is to positively impact the life of vulnerable children within Nairobi.

Liz: What does service mean to you?

Godfrey: Service to me means being a voice of reason to the voiceless. Service to Humanity is Service to God.

Liz: How can people get involved?

Godfrey: People can get involved through sponsoring an orphan, sharing information about Here’s Life on social media, or following Here’s Life on Facebook and Twitter. One time or monthly donations help as well. You can also support a project like a classroom.
